Chocolate Chip Bars (aka Blonde Brownies)

Ingredients

2/3 cup butter

2 eggs beaten

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 package chocolate chips

2 cups brown sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

2 tablespoons water

2 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease and flour a 9 x 13” baking pan.

  2. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.

  3. Remove from heat and add sugar. Cool slightly.

  4. Stir in water, eggs, vanilla, flour, and baking powder.

  5. Stir in chocolate chips.

  6. Pour batter into greased/flour baking pan and bake for about 25 minutes.
