Santa Barbara Wine Regions

Fruit comes in many forms and taste; some of us happen to like our grapes well fermented. Add to that a day with your daughter-in-law and one grand daughter in the Santa Barbara wine region, and well, it's perfect!

Santa Barbara is rich with vineyards that range in price and taste. Our recent trip to Santa Barbara included a day trip to an area not yet tasted - Dierberg * Star Lane; their Tasting Room is located on a Santa Rita Hills property, Drum Canyon Vineyard. 

Tasting at Lutum; Their wine focuses on small-production, single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from prime vineyard sites in California. Their tasting room manager shared not only great wine, but the kid favorite, her dog. 

Both tasting rooms are located in or around, what some view as the lesser attractive town of Lompoc, California. We began with one of the best Mexican lunches I've had and ended with two great tasting rooms. The bonus was Ayla could join us for lunch, enjoy the dogs and the great outdoors.
