The wine distinguishes itself from other wines in the category by combining the typical international grapes of Bolgheri blends like Cabernet and Merlot with an indigenous Tuscan variety, Pugnitello, which is unique to San Felice.

The wine is a dense ruby red color with hints of garnet. The bouquet recalls black currant preserves and offers notes of spice. On the palate, the wine is warm and complex with mild notes of vanilla – perfect to enjoy with chocolate on a cold mid-February night.
