Winter Greens Wrapping Paper
by Reba Berge, Tastemaker in Residence -
Create your own Winter Greens Wrapping Paper this Holiday season.
Supplies:
Evergreens (such as flat cedar, white pine, noble fir)
Brown Craft Paper
Acrylic Paints and paint dish
A medium, soft paintbrush
A jar of water
Sheets of tissue paper or newspaper
Ribbon
What to do:
Lay out a single sheet of brown craft paper
Squeeze paint into a paint dish
Place a sprig of evergreen into the paint and brush paint over the entire surface of the sprig.
Place the sprig, painted side down onto the craft paper.
Lay a sheet of tissue paper or newspaper over the evergreen sprig and press and rub the paint onto the craft paper.
Peel off the paper and press again. You will be able to use the same sprig many times. Use a clean sheet of paper each time you print.
When you use a new color of paint, rinse and dry the sprig in a jar of water first to remove the old color.
Let the paint dry for 30-40 minutes.
Wrap your box, and tie it with a bow. Consider adding a small accent of your wintergreen sprig as a finishing touch!
