by Reba Berge, Tastemaker in Residence
Step 1: Gather your Materials - (If you have flowers in your yard, or favorites you like to use, that’s just fine).
Hardgoods: garden shears or knife, flower preservative, water, 1 ceramic pumpkin vase, 1/2 block oasis (floral foam), 3 Green Apples, Black Spray Paint, 2 Artificial Spiders, 1 Miniature Witch Accent, 1/4 bag spider cotton, thin wire or string
Focal Flowers: 2 Red Roses, 1 Orange LA Lily, 1 Sedum
Secondary Flowers: 3 Orange Carnations, 2 Red Hypericum Berries, 1 bronze cushion mum, 1 Leucodendron
Foliage: 2 stems Salal, 1 stem Dusty Miller, 3-4 Small Branches
Step 2: Remove any lower leaves to create clean stems on all your flowers
Step 3: Cut Oasis to size and insert into the ceramic pumpkin. Fill the pumpkin 3/4 full of water, having mixed in the flower preservative until fully dissolved.
Step 4: Start by inserting your foliage. Cut each stem at a diagonal before insertion. 2 stems Salal, 1 stem Dusty Miller
Step 5: Add in your focal flowers; 2 Red Roses, 1 Orange LA Lily, 1 Sedum
Step 6: Add in your secondary flowers. 3 Orange Carnations, 2 Red Hypericum Berries, 1 bronze cushion mum, 1 Leucodendron
Step 7: Lightly Spray the green apples with black spray paint and attach them to the branches.
Step 8: Lastly, place the spiders, webbing and the witch accent on the bouquet for the finishing touch!
