It’s hard enough to host a lot of hungry football fans, much less if you’re not feeling great about the way your kitchen looks…I can relate. So, here are some kitchen tips, I know, you won’t be able to implement them all before Sunday night, so just choose one or two things to give you the kitchen lift you need, but then go back and finish it after the Super Day. I don’t know about you, but if my refrigerator is cleaned out, I feel like I can ask any guest to help me get ready. I can even send that semi-clueless man to the fridge for a beer.

This pro tip is all about keeping your kitchen countertops as clutter-free as possible. I always underestimate the fact that everyone LOVES to be in the kitchen. Even if they’re not helping you out, they love to hang out, which is also fabulous; but only if there is some open space on your counters for what they’re drinking or eating.

Do you have 15 minutes? Do you have an hour? Do you have the weekend? Only you can decide…go for it.

I just finished doing this before Christmas and it was truly amazing how much easier it was to put people to work when the items needed to wash the dishes or fill the dishwasher were readily available and organized.

I know this will be down the priority list for now, but most of us have a junk drawer in our kitchens or laundry rooms. But our junk doesn’t have to look well, junky. REAL SIMPLE if you set up a grab-and-go row, drop zone, birthday kit, receipt wrangler and a modular mix. I haven’t done this one yet, but I still have Saturday!

Do what you can, and don’t stress about what you can’t do this weekend. But please, put it on your list to do one task every other week!

Now really, that’s manageable isn’t it??
