Siri Daly Q&A = Fav Spices + Food Views
by Cindi Sutter, Chief Communicator & Editor of Spirited Table®
It’s our last week of Q&A with Siri Daly: but the good news for you is I still have several of Siri’s recipes to impart before the end of the year, so stay tuned! Here is Siri’s recipe for Slow-Cooker Beef Bourguignon!
Welcome to week six of my Q&A interview with Siri Daly. Today’s questions are perfect for this season of cooking and what’s on the horizon for 2019. Without further adieu here are the last two Q&A I asked of Siri Daly. It’s been fun to gather around her table full of recipes, family and tips that will sustain us through the holiday season.
Cindi’s Question #11 - What is your favorite spice and why?
Siri’s Answer - Hmm...my favorite spice might be garlic salt, because it adds so much flavor. I also love cumin though, because of it's smoky, earthy notes. Or I often use oregano, or paprika...red pepper flakes! Sorry, you asked for just one.
Cindi’s Question #12 - What food trend do you see on the horizon?
Siri’s Answer - I've never been very "trendy" when it comes to food, but my hope is that home cooks and chefs alike continue to focus on seasonal ingredients, and keeping things simple. Fine dining can be accessible, affordable and can occur within the comfort of our own kitchens.
You can find more of Siri’s recipes in her Siriously Delicious cookbook or here on Spirited Table®. Thanks for joining us over the last 6 weeks and it’s been a privilege to open a small window into the world of Siri Daly’s daily cooking life. Thank you Siri for trusting me with your epicurean treasures.
