Precious Petals Bi-Weekly Tips

FLOWERS ARE TEMPERATURE SENSITIVE!

When the temperature is too high, food is used up too fast and water is lost faster than it is replaced. When the temperature too low, this can lead to faster deterioration, wilting, and even premature death.

*A flower is special because it lasts for a moment in time.

*Do you prefer the look of closed tulips? “Paint” the inside of the three outer petals with a dab of egg white and hold them closed as it dries.

*Submerging flowers in a vase: Hot glue clear glass beads to the base of the flower. The blooms will stay submerged as if by magic!

*Poinsettia Care: Dry Poinsettias with wilting foliage can usually be revived: immerse pot in warm water for 20 minutes or until bubbles stop rising, then allow to drain while plants regain turgidity. Avoid getting any water on foliage. Place plant in light aread and it will revive in a few days.
