Festive “Friendsmas” for Christmas
by Mimi & Vera Levin, Tastemakers in Residence
I have always loved the holidays (who doesn’t?), because they remind me of what is most important to me: friends, family, togetherness, and joy. Ever since I left Minnesota to go to college in Pennsylvania, the month of December always served as a symbol of homecoming and reunion. Even though I graduated and moved back to Minnesota permanently a few years ago, I continue to appreciate the warm feeling of fellowship that is especially prevalent during the holiday season.
This year before celebrating with my family, I will partake in holiday fun with good friends from law school. One of my friends planned a “Friendsmas” get-together, where we will share home-made food, festive drinks, and play plenty of games. Friendsmas is a perfect way to spend time with people you care about and include those who may not have a place to go during the holidays. Although it strays from the traditional Christmas cookie exchange, cookies, of course, are still encouraged.
Here is what I will be bringing!
