Sweet Summer Fun
by Cindi Sutter, Founder of The Spirited Table®
Ayla and Leland Sutter created a breakfast on the deck by spicing things up. Leland's omelette of choice was filled with peaches and oranges. Ayla and I stuck to more traditional versions with Canadian bacon, peppers, tomatoes, goat cheese and white cheddar.
I took 3 red potatoes and sliced them into a matchstick size. I then placed them on a small cookie sheet with parchment paper and topped them with a small amount of olive oil and the best all around salt seasoning I can think of; the Golden Fig's - Sel de Cuisine .
You can keep the extra omelettes warm in an oven that's been turned off when the matchsticks are crispy.
Leland created a virgin Mimosa with Orange Juice and Sunkist sparkling lemonade. Ayla chose a Venetian container and the liquer pipes to drink the OJ creation from.
