Our host commented on the book she chose:
"This was the first time I read the book and it didn't have favorable reviews from my children for whom it was required reading. I was fascinated by the book because of my confusion over what was real. I had to immediately reread the last half and watched the movie twice. Having just been in India I especially related to the personalities and cadence of the storyteller.”
Sharing the experience on a boat on Lake Minnetonka created the perfect setting for The Life of Pi. Dressed in East Indian attire and animal prints, our hostess greeted us with delicious Tamarind cocktails a delightful assortment of Indian Cuisine. The animal printed plates and napkins added to the fun decor.
It was a perfect summer evening on Lake Minnetonka. Richard Parker graced our presence.
