Back To School...Our Tradition
by Bridget Levin, Tastemaker in Residence
At the end of every summer we celebrate going back to school by eeking one more drop of fun out of our lake cabin. First we purchase all of the school supplies at stores in the nearby town and then we head for lunch at our favorite Northwoods restaurant. We all order the last BLTs of the season and bask in the memories made over the summer. Goals and dreams for the upcoming school year are discussed over the rare mid-day dessert of banana splits with real whipped cream or double scoop root beer floats.
It wouldn’t be complete without a round of cutthroat mini-golf before heading back to reality and the craziness that is September.
