W3 Book Club - Girls Guide to Hunting and Fishing
by Laura Chin, Tastemaker in Residence
Our book club host, knowing it was Fall hunting season in Minnesota, chose the light-hearted Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing, which is about one woman’s hunt for true love.
One of the most memorable parts of the evening is when everyone arrives. All book club members dress, according to the theme of the book. We all showed up in hunting and fishing attire from our family's collections. No need to spend money on costumes; it’s the mix’n match that can make the woman! One of our members replicated the clothing on the book's cover for her costume.
(Check out more outfits and members below, in the photo book created for each years' books)
The menu, as always, paired well with the theme: savory basque pheasant and salmon, wild rice and Wild Turkey [from a whiskey bottle].
