Pressing flowers and leaves is a very meaningful and intentional way of connecting with the plant life around you. It offers an extension of your garden into your home that will last for years to come. It is also a great way to introduce children to plant life and its intricate beauty.

Instructions for pressing flowers and leaves:

  1. Collect plant material when it is dry, not wet from rain or dew.

  2. Select plant material that is interesting and appealing to you.

  3. Place the blossoms or leaves in between coffee filters inside the pages of a heavy book.

  4. Clamp the book shut for 2 months.

  5. Gently open the pages and remove the dried/pressed plant materials.

  6. Display your pressed flowers and leaves in a glass frame or other creative ways.
