W3 Book Club - Lean In

The W3 Book Club celebrated women. Our hostess for the evening, Sussan Mahjouri, is of Persian decent and defines a woman with hospitality at her core.

Men still hold the vast majority of leadership positions in government and industry in the United States today, even though women have made up half of the nation's college graduates for the past thirty years. According to Sheryl Sandberg, this means that women's voices are still not heard equally in the decisions that most affect our lives in the corporate world. In "Lean In" Sandberg examines why women's progress in achieving leadership roles has stalled, analyzes the possible causes, and offers solutions that can empower women to achieve their full potential.
