First Winter Market of 2015!   

 

                              10 am - 1 pm inside the Mill City Museum 

Kick off the New Year right with some fresh locally grown produce, pastured meats, cold-pressed organic juice, whole grain baked goods, and more!

 From 10 am to 1 pm, shop from nearly 40 of your favorite food and art vendors for everything from wild rice to kimchi, specialty cheeses, vegan "meats", freshly milledgrains, single-source honey, jams and jellies, farm fresh eggs, handmade soaps,unique ceramics, and handcrafted jewelry!  

Hungry customers can quell their grumbling tummies as they shop with a pastry fromSalty Tart, or some tasty momos from Gorkha Palace!

Produce Planner: At the Market this Saturday, you will find: Beets, beans (dried), carrots, garlic,onions, pac choi, potatoes, radishes (black Spanish and watermelon varieties), salad greens, shallots, squash, and more...

Festivities at the Market!    

Live Music, 11 am - 1 pm:

MCFM welcomes local harpist Reuben Correa today! Reuben's harp music is a surround sound experience of beautiful original music, arrangements of popular melodies, classics, show tunes, light jazz, and Celtic stylings.

Cocktail sampling with the The Bachelor Farmer, all day:

Will Steger Foundation: WSF will have a table featuring climate change games for kids and other activities, and Will Steger himself will be available to sign books from 10-12!

Right to Know MN: Stop by their table to learn more about our upcoming Label Day at the State Capitol, write a quick note to your State/Federal Elected officials to share why you care about GMO labeling, and sample some of The Birchwood Cafe's delicious and non-gmo verified granola.

Dine for Climate at Spoonriver - Thursday, Jan 8th!     

This Thursday, January 8th Spoonriver will host the third event in the Will Steger Foundation's ongoing Dine for Climate series, which is making the connection between climate change and our food system through partnerships with local farm-to-table restaurants. Will Steger Foundation staff will be on hand to answer questions about how eating local and organic can be a climate change solution, and Spoonriver is donating 30 percent of the evening's proceeds to WSF's climate change education work.
